This project demonstrates how laser restoration provides a precise and controlled solution for restoring exterior entrance doors – removing dark coatings, worn finish, and surface buildup while preserving the wood grain, panel details, trim profiles, and overall architectural character of the entry door system.
The Challenge: Worn Coating, Weather Exposure, and Detailed Door Profiles
Exterior entrance doors are constantly exposed to weather, sunlight, moisture, and daily use. Over time, painted or stained finishes can deteriorate, especially around edges, panels, trim details, and high-contact areas.
- Aged Exterior Finish: The entrance door had a dark existing coating that needed to be removed before refinishing.

The Laser Restoration Process
